From 'The Images That I turned My Back To' series

Uluc - I would call myself an independent traveler who is into photography and writing. I produce road stories to various travel magazines. So far I have traversed distinct places and cultures, from Iceland to Nepal. I usually try to follow my curiosity to wherever it takes me. Today, rather than discovering remote places in the world, I tend to be more interested in getting as local as possible in the region I live, that is Eurasia where I am able to read the codes and can make connections.

Boyan - People in their setting - thats what I enjoy about Uluc's work. To catch our attention, an image doesn't need to pray on stereotypes. With travel photography, I like to see the real place - behind the glossy images of palm-thronged shores: just the real place with real people who live and work there. Thanks Uluc.
