'The Coin Merchant', 'The Dhow Packers' & 'The Dhow Packers'

Mike has a a strong preference for the more "real", rustic and gritty nature of interesting people, things and places around us. He loves capturing and freezing a moment in someone's daily life, a moment that will probably never be repeated again in exactly the same way. Originally from South Africa, he resides is Dubai, as a practicing architect since early 2002.

Boyan - Mike's photographs have a unique style and depth to them. The subjects are very well-chosen and the shots executed dramatically to make a real impression on the viewer. It is the fine details such as the wrinkles on the skin or the texture of the sack which catch my attention - beautiful.
